English Paper Piecing with Vintage Fabric |
I was recently contacted by the lovely Kay wanting a 1:2:1 session
focusing on English Paper Piecing. She
had sadly lost her Mum and inherited a vast amount of hexagons and was unsure
how to take the unfinished project forward.
I was delighted to be asked to help progress her special project and we
spent two hours going through the basics of English Paper Piecing and talking
about the routes that she could possibly take.
It was clear that she was emotionally attached to the work that her
mother had done and remembered many of the fabrics from childhood clothes
etc. However, she was hoping to put a
modern twist into her quilt.
I feel very privileged to have been able to spend time with Kay and her
hexies and I really look forward to seeing the end result in due course. Best of luck Kay!
